Austria 2010 - Littlewood Players Europe Tour
Austria - People all over the world say that this country is synonymous with culture. Tanglewood Music School is organising Austria 2010, a Europe tour for the Littlewood Players to perform on the world's stage.

Salzburg - Birthplace of Wolfgang A. Mozart
Our young musicians will be performing in Salzburg, the birthplace of the greatest musical genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and also in the country's heritage-rich capital, Vienna.

Vienna - Capital of Austria
Other than the performances at Salzburg and Austria, the tour is also filled with activities like the Sound of Music tour, visit to Mozart's birthplace, the award-winning House of Music museum, Mozart Dinner Concert and even the Prater amusement park. The tour will be a fun-filled yet enriching musical experience for all.

Meet with your licensed English-speaking guide for a 2.5hour walking city sightseeing tour of Salzburg.
Includes following the footsteps of Mozart – admission to Mozart’s Birthplace. Learn about the history and background of one of history’s greatest composers.
You will have some time to shop, walk around and enjoy the sights in Salzburg. You will also take a cable-car up to Salzburg’s Fortress and see beyond Salzburg’s beautiful horizons!

In the afternoon, visit the Salt Mines in Hallein. Down in a miner’s smock, zip down a wooden chute and cross a subterranean lake. Walk through the underground galleries to find out about the different techniques of salt extraction and the region’s role in the accumulation of wealth through this valuable substance.

Start the afternoon on a Highlights Tour of Vienna.
Drive around the Ring Boulevard, passing the Hofburg Palace, House of Parliament, City Hall, Burgtheater, Belvedere Palace and view many sights and musicians’ memorials like Beethoven, Haydn, Johann Strauss and Franz Schubert.
Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.
Finally, visit the St. Stephan’s Cathedral and pass from the Spanish Riding School and St. Michael’s Church, where the Vienna Boys Choir sing many Sunday Masses.

This morning, you will visit the House of Music – an interactive discovery museum located in the heart of Vienna’s first district nestled between St. Stephan’s Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera. A host of interactive installations playfully communicate openness to new things, understanding the enthusiasm in approaching music and most of all, to experience music.
The House of Music was awarded the Austrian Museum Prize for its innovative design and is located in the former Palais of Archduke Charles. You will find all 67 of its inventions there. A total of 5,000 square meters has been set aside exclusively for areas dedicated to a wide array of approaches to music.
