E. Herrmann, as described in ‘Universal Dictionary of Violin and Bow Makers’:
“…Born 1893. Esteemed bow maker at Schonlind ( Saxony ), 1919.”
This particular bow in GPA’s collection is stamped with 3 stars, indicating that it is the highest grade bow from Herrmann. It has a repaired head which does not affect the playability of the bow, but has reduced its value from the collection point of view. It is approximately 61grams.
