Tanglewood Music School Annual Concert 2008

Tanglewood Music School held its annual concert, “Maestros @ Work” on 6th December 2008 at the Alliance Francaise Theatre.

The concert showcased young musicians not only playing on the violin and cello, but also featured orchestral conducting students under the tutelage of Armenian conducting maestro Gevorg Sargsyan.

Principal Karen Yap also announced the launch of a group or orchestral performers called the Littlewood Players. Under the management of Tanglewood Music School, the Littlewood Players will have regular orchestral performances to promote the school’s vision of promoting music development through performing opportunities.

“This is Crystal and Max’s first concert. They are very thrilled to be part of the team. It is amazing to see my kids, from being unable to play a proper tone to being able to play in togetherness in an orchestra. This is all thanks to Tanglewood and their teachers for making it all possible. To the kids, this is a really big achievement. I am very proud of them”
- Mrs. Carol Pang

“Wonderful experience for the children. Good way for them to learn that the instruments they are learning can play really beautiful music together” Mrs. Tan Boon Yean

“This concert is a good opportunity for my children (Chris and Julie Kang). They have enjoyed all the rehearsals and the stage. Thank you so much!”
