DR IRYNA VOKHMYANINA
Dr Iryna Vokhmyanina graduated from the Moscow State Music-Pedagogical University with Masters’ Degree specializing in Music Pedagogy (piano). After completing postgraduate studies, she obtained a PhD specializing in Music Theory and Methodology of Professional Education.
Dr Iryna is a laureate of many international music competitions and gave many solo and chamber music recitals. She taught piano at several universities in Ukraine and Russia where her publications frequently appeared at educational conferences. She held the position as a Piano Professor of the Department of Music Performing Arts at Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Ukraine.
Equipped with more than 25 years or professional teaching experience, many of her students became winners of international music competitions including the 1st Singapore Steinway Youth Piano Competition in 2013. Her students were successfully accepted to various music educational establishments all over the world.
Dr Iryna’s latest professional achievements include participation in several music projects as a performer of chamber music (piano), member of the jury at the International Music Competition-Festival "Fortissimo" (Ukraine, 2011) and Thailand Chopin Piano Competition (Bangkok, Thailand, 2014), Project Coordinator of lectures-concerts “Mozart’s effect” at Kharkov Philharmonic (Ukraine 2009–2013), Founder and Artistic Director of project ''Symphony of Motherhood'' in Singapore since 2012 up to present.
Dr Iryna is currently teaching Piano, Aural and Piano Accompaniment at Tanglewood Music School.
